Security Access
Intercom / Access System
Your apartment is fitted with an audio/visual intercom and security system. It allows remote opening of the secure pedestrian entry door and communication with people at the front entrance. The handset is on the wall of your apartment. Pedestrian access is via the main entry lobby at the front of the building.
Note: The intercom system also allows the visitor to access your floor level via the lifts.
Security
• The main entrance doors must not be held open at any time.
• Lock all doors and windows when leaving your apartment.
• Keep your front door closed.
• Beware of strangers following you through the entry doors and the car park tilt door.
Visitor at Front Door
Visitors should select the apartment number. If they are unsure of the number, they can press the right-hand arrow to activate a directory or name search.
Once the apartment number is pressed, the bell rings in the apartment. The occupier lifts the handset and can then speak with the visitor.
The occupier then presses the “key” button to open the front door. Only the allocated floor is available to the visitor.
Occupier Entry
To enter the building, the apartment occupier must:
• Point the proximity fob towards the proximity reader, which is next to the front door handle.
• Open the front door within a few seconds of the latch releasing and proceed to the lift.
• Enter the lift and point the proximity fob towards the proximity reader on the lift panel. Only then can your floor number be activated.
Proximity Fobs and Readers
The fob can be attached to your keyring for convenience. To activate it, point it directly at the reader.
• Two beeps indicate a valid fob (you may enter).
• Five beeps indicate an invalid fob (locked).
Car Park Vehicle Entry Door
The car park is entered via the vehicle ramps. Your allocated car park is indicated by the apartment number painted on the floor.
To enter and leave the car park, point the remote at the receiver next to the entry doors and press the button. The door will open automatically and close after a set period of time (e.g. 30 seconds).
You will need to use the proximity fob to open the pedestrian doors from the car park to the stairwell (basement) and to the lobby (ground).
